Top Funniest fads among youth

  • Buying a 30k Rs smartphone to play Temple Run 2.
  • Happily spends 30k+ to buy a smartphone. Cries to pay 50 rupees for whatsapp.
  • Purchasing a DSLR and then considering themselves as professional photographers. It is going to an extent of creating an FB page called "FirstName LastName Photography" to share their so called photographs by adding watermarks to it and expecting Likes/Comments for the "awesome" pics they take.
  • Waiting an hour or maybe longer to go to Starbucks to take photographs with a coffee mug and post it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for people to label coolness and to connect with the global brand-conscious feeling.
  • Annoying posts about their IPL favorites.
  • Posing for pictures, with a guitar in your hand, irrespective of whether you ACTUALLY know how to play it or not, just because it's "cool".
  • Facebook confessions...which are like 'proposals' pages. These days gutless wimps profess their "love" anonymously. What's even more amusing is that the posts go something like " Girl from 3rd yr, I don't knw ur name, but I've loved u since the first day I saw u". Seriously? Stop belittling the word 'love' .
  • Going abroad or airport for that matter( largely maiden flight ) and do the check-ins on facebook.
  • Reading only Chetan Bhagat books and calling themselves an avid reader.
  • Going to States and uploading their "self made" curry pics :P
  • Thinking that posting these pics in FB......is equivalent to wishing their parents for real.

Many people write a long list of things to her brother on fb, they actually lived in the same house. Why cant u get up and go talk to him. And this, happy father's day thing makes me want to punch on the wall.people posting their dad's pic and saying you are the best dad ever, like he has had several dads or something :P and the dad is not even on fb. and even if he is, and if you love him so much, for god's sake call him. or go to the next room and wish him.

Showing affection and respect towards parents in reality is what I meant but not posting the things on Facebook which shows nothing. If u love them, why no just get up n show THEM directly rather than showing it on facebook n grabbing some likes..

  • Using Hashtags on Facebook posts where almost 50% don't know why hashtags are used.          Like... Had an awesome day for my friend's(XXX) birthday. #bestfriendsforever#loveyou#awesomefood#allthebestforthefuture.
  • 20+ years guys claiming to be spirituals and Philosophers, as if just because our Ancestors wrote Vedas, Indians are the experts.
  • Obsession with foreign brands in everything from smartphones to cars, Innerwears to shirts. No matter what the name or cost is they just want to wear a branded material.
  • Trying to speak in american accent or act and speak like one who has stayed for years in abroad and recently returned to India .
  • Supporting only popular Football clubs without even knowing a bit about them, the players or their history
  • Blaming the government for corruption and taking out processions, but bribing the traffic cop rs100 hundred to save 200.
  • BBM on Android and IPhone
  • Calling themselves atheists on facebook. And when alone, praying (bribing) God to get themselves that cool job or clearing that tough exam. :P
  • Sharing pathetic pictures and messages for a social cause in facebook...!!!
  • Using so-called SMS language.
  • Simply being less Indian and more western.
  • Clicking pics at Dominnos, McD or CCD and sharing them on all social networking sites
  • Tagging so many of your friends with every post on Facebook to get more likes.
  • There is flood of pages with pages based on  love and relationships on Facebook.
  • Updating facebook status using emoticons... Watching,Felling-Tired, happy, loving, frustrated, sad, .... the list goes on and on.......
